ILLENIUM, Dabin & Lights Top Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart
“Hearts” is drawing core-dance airplay on leaders KMVQ-HD2 San Francisco, SiriusXM’s BPM and Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, among other chart reporters, according to MRC Data. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.)
Additionally on Dance/Mix Show Airplay, NERVO and Carla Monroe cruise 16-10 with “Gotta Be You.” It’s the third top 10 for NERVO and the second for Monroe.
Shifting to the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, Pet Shop Boys, still buoyed by their synch in an Allstate insurance commercial that first ran during CBS’ Super Bowl LV broadcast Feb. 7, bump back to No. 1 with “Opportunities (Let’s Make Lots of Money)” (2-1). The 1986 classic sold 3,500 downloads, up 3%, in the tracking week ending April 8. It’s the song’s fifth total frame on top and first since the chart dated March 20.
Plus, “Opportunities” advances 14-12 on the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (where older songs with renewed activity are eligible to appear if ranking in the list’s upper half). It’s another new career high for the legendary UK duo of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, which has made eight appearances dating to the chart’s 2013 inception. “Opportunities” also drew 405,000 on-demand U.S. streams, up 10%, in the tracking week.
