1st round of performers at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards
Camila Cabello, Christian Nodal, Juanes, Natti Natasha, Prince Royce, Ana Barbara, Carlos Rivera, Myke Towers, Reik and Rauw Alejandro are confirmed to perform at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards, set to take place on Sept. 23. The chart-topping artists make up the first lineup of confirmed performers at the annual awards show that will broadcast live on Telemundo beginning at 7 p.m. ET with the traditional red carpet special followed by the awards show at 8 p.m.
This year, Bad Bunny leads the list of finalists with 22 nods. Maluma follows with 11, J Balvin with nine, and Karol G, Anuel AA and Black Eyed Peas with eight each. The Billboard Latin Music Awards will also be simulcast on the Hispanic entertainment cable channel, Universo, and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional.
Natti Natasha to talk motherhood at Latin Music Week
Natti Natasha is confirmed for Billboard’s 2021 Latin Music Week, returning to Miami in September with a weeklong event that unites the top Latin hitmakers, influencers and industry leaders, and features live performances and conversations with superstars. Titled “There’s No Hood Like Motherhood,” the Dominican Republic superstar along with Telemundo television host Adamari López will have a candid conversation on wellness, babies and superstardom.

El Grito festivities
As the live entertainment industry reopens, so do the annual El Grito festivities that take place in Las Vegas throughout September. In celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day, the city will capture El Grito’s essence with month-long cultural events, a star-studded lineup, and culinary hotspots, to name a few.
Live Nation is producing seven out of 12 performances taking place in September, including Nodal kicking off his Botella Tras Botella tour with special guest Gera MX, Grupo Firme with three back-to-back shows at MGM Grand Garden Arena, and both Marco Antonio Solis and Alejandro Fernandez with two concerts each.
In regards to the COVID-19 and Delta variant spikes, Live Nation SVP of concerts Emily Simonitsch assures, “Live Nation continues to follow all venue and local government protocols and encourages guests to visit the websites for each venue for the most updated guidelines.”
Ally Brooke to release Spanish album
Ally Brooke is tapping into her Latin side. The former Fifth Harmony member has signed a joint record deal with indie labels Duars Entertainment, founded by Eric Duars, and with AMSI, launched by entertainment attorney Simran A. Singh, becoming the first female artist signed to either company. Brooke is currently recording her first Spanish-language album and is working with producers Luny Tunes, Dimelo Flow and Mr. NaisGai, among others. The album will also feature collabs with Latin and mainstream artists.
